Thailand, Dec 22, 2008 – Poly Vision Precision Mould Co., Ltd. has received the coveted TS 16949 quality certification for manufacturing excellence from the International Standards Organization.

TS 16949 is the current version of the standard that was developed for the automotive industry. It contains all of the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 plus several additional requirements. Registration to ISO/TS 16949 is a requirement for any company wanting to supply its products to the automotive industry. Companies registered to this technical specification are required to develop their suppliers and develop their quality management systems with the goal of the supplier conforming to ISO/TS 16949. Poly Vision’s achievement shows their ambition on expending their injection mould and press die business as the 2nd largest mould and die manufacturer.

What is TS16949?

TS16949 applies to the design/development, production and, when relevant, installation and servicing of automotive-related products. It is an ISO technology specification that unifies US and European automotive part quality system standards, and is a sector standard specialized for the automotive industry. It was originally established by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF), which is composed mostly of US and European automobile manufacturers.
